Mr. Vinod A.R. Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore and Mr. Arjun J Rao, CEO, CREDAI Mangalore met with Prof. Subray Hegde, Director, NITK-STEP, at NITK Surathkal to initiate a strategic collaboration for conducting a comprehensive and structured Real Estate Market Survey for Mangaluru.
The initiative will culminate in a detailed analytical report aimed at generating data-driven insights to support informed decision-making, policy advocacy, and sustainable growth of the regional real estate ecosystem.
CREDAI Mangalore participated in the CREDAI BuildSmart Innovation Challenge Finale at EMERGE 2026, a flagship initiative conducted by CREDAI Mangalore on behalf of Section Infin-8 Foundation and powered by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor and Mission Utthan, showcasing the transformative power of structured innovation in solving real-world industry challenges.
The initiative activated local talent to develop technology-led solutions across safety, quality, workflows, and sustainability, aligning with Mangaluru’s vision of emerging as a leading tech, data centre, and global knowledge hub, with top teams now progressing towards pilots, incubation, and real-world deployment.
CREDAI Mangalore actively participated in TiECon Mangaluru 2026, held from 15th to 17th January 2026 at The Avatar Hotel & Convention Centre and TMA Pai International Convention Centre, a premier entrepreneurship summit positioning Coastal Karnataka as an emerging “Silicon Beach” innovation hub.
The summit featured over 30 startups, 500+ delegates, leading investors, policymakers, and eminent speakers, with focused discussions on building unicorns, AI and deeptech innovation, agritech, sustainability, GCC development, and strengthening the regional startup ecosystem aligned with the long-term vision of enabling 4,000 startups by 2034.
CREDAI Mangalore actively participated in CREDAI SOUTH CON 2026, held on 23rd and 24th January 2026 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru, alongside CREDAI chapters from across South India.
The event served as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, industry insights, policy discussions, and networking, strengthening regional collaboration within the real estate ecosystem.

During the visit of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar to Mangaluru, CREDAI Mangalore, in association with KCCI and the Coastal Karnataka Tourism Board, made a comprehensive presentation outlining key development priorities for the region.
The engagement highlighted strategic positioning of Mangaluru as a future-ready port city, along with proposals spanning infrastructure and connectivity, tourism and coastal development, industrial and IT enablement, and critical planning, land, and policy reforms aligned with the Government’s “Beyond Bengaluru” vision.
The CREDAI Youth Wing – Mangalore Chapter organized an interactive knowledge-sharing session titled “Green Buildings & Sustainable Cities” on 11th December 2025 at wrkwrk, Mindspace, Yeyyadi, bringing together reputed architects and young leaders to deliberate on sustainable development, smart mobility, and responsible urban growth.

Mr. D.B. Mehta, Past President, CREDAI Mangalore and President-Elect, CREDAI Karnataka, met with the British Deputy High Commissioner in Mangaluru on 29th January 2026 to deliberate on opportunities arising from the India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The interaction focused on exploring collaborative prospects, trade facilitation, investment opportunities, and potential partnerships that could benefit the real estate, infrastructure, and allied sectors in Coastal Karnataka.

Mr. Arjun J Rao, CEO, CREDAI Mangalore, participated in the Coastal Conclave hosted by NIT-K Surathkal, engaging with CEOs and institutional leaders to deliberate on building an integrated hub
of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship for the coastal region. The conclave focused on fostering a technology-driven ecosystem while preserving regional ecology and culture, aligned with national missions such as Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and Sagarmala.

CREDAI Mangalore, in association with Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH), organized a free medical camp for construction workers, providing screenings, routine investigations, medications, and subsidized advanced services. The event, presided over by Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho and addressed by D. B. Mehta and Kumar B.R., emphasized workers’ health and statutory responsibilities. Initiated by Dr. Anil Shetty and Dr. Errol Pinto, over 400 workers benefited, and CREDAI and FMMCH pledged to continue such healthcare initiatives.
Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Darshan H.V. announced that the State Tourism Department is preparing a special tourism policy for coastal development, highlighting that Mangaluru has strong potential to become the next rapidly growing city in Karnataka after Bengaluru. Speaking at the CREDAI Mangalore 2025–27 installation ceremony, he urged greater local investment and assured administrative support. CREDAI Karnataka president Bhaskar T. Nagendra installed the new office-bearers, including president Vinod Pinto and state unit president D.B. Mehta, with other key members assuming their roles.

The collaboration focuses on green building methods, sustainable urban development, ESG frameworks, innovative construction techniques, and environmental impact assessments with carbon credits. An Innovation and Incubation Facility will support sustainable startups and promote advanced solutions for a resilient future, benefiting developers and industry leaders across Mangaluru.

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), Mangaluru, announced on Thursday that D.B. Mehta is the president-elect of CREDAI-Karnataka for the 2025-27 term.
A comprehensive discussion on Registration Software, multi-rights, and the registration of TDR was held in Bengaluru. Attendees included CREDAI Mangalore President Mr. Vinod Pinto; Past President Mr. D. B. Mehta; Adv. Sathish Bhat (CREDAI-appointed counsel); the Principal Secretary; AIGR; DR; DC of Mangaluru, Shri Mullai Muhilan M. P., IAS; and Sub-Registrar Officers of the city and taluk. Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, District In-charge Minister of Mangaluru, assured positive resolution within a short time.
CREDAI Women’s Wing and CREDAI Mangalore, with the Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy at Father Muller Medical College (NAAC/NABH/NABL), organized a Skin Camp on Neglected Tropical Diseases among migrant workers. Camps at over five builders’ sites have provided check-ups to more than 300 construction workers.
A meeting was recently convened to discuss the ongoing issues related to the RERA. The primary objective of this meeting was to identify the current challenges and explore potential solutions to address these issues effectively.
