Mr. Vinod A. R. Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore, attended a high-level meeting convened under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka, at Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, on 19th June 2026, representing CREDAI Mangalore.
The meeting brought together Government Departments and key private stakeholders to deliberate on a comprehensive policy and roadmap for the sustainable development of Coastal Karnataka’s tourism sector. The discussions focused on leveraging the region’s immense tourism potential through a coordinated and integrated approach, with stakeholders invited to share valuable suggestions for shaping the future of coastal tourism.

The leadership of CREDAI Karnataka, along with representatives from various city chapters across the State, had the privilege of meeting Shri. D.K. Shivakumar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, at Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, on 08th June 2026.
The delegation was led by Mr. Bhaskar Nagendrappa, President, CREDAI Karnataka, and included Mr. D.B. Mehta, President-Elect, CREDAI Karnataka; Mr. Zayd Noaman, President, CREDAI Bengaluru; Mr. Vinod A.R. Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore; along with other office bearers and representatives from various CREDAI city chapters across Karnataka.
During the meeting, the delegation extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Hon’ble Chief Minister on assuming the leadership of the State and conveyed its best wishes for a successful tenure.
The delegation also expressed its willingness to work closely with the Government in addressing industry concerns, streamlining regulatory processes, and fostering an environment conducive to responsible and planned development.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Hemalatha Channabasappa, Team Leader & Policy Expert, IPE Global; Dr. Vishruth K.V., Planning & Procurement Expert, IPE Global; Mr. Gaurav Hegde, Secretary, Coastal Karnataka Tourism Development Council (CKTDC); Mr. Sharan Shetty, CEO, CKTDC; and Mr. Mukesh S., AVP, Silicon Beach Program.
The discussion focused on identifying opportunities to strengthen tourism in the region and exploring collaborative initiatives among various stakeholders to drive sustainable growth, enhance visitor experiences, and unlock the tourism potential of Coastal Karnataka.

CREDAI Mangalore actively participated in the Outreach Programme “PRARAMBH 2026” organised by the Office of the Commissioner of Income-tax (TDS), Panaji, in association with the TDS Circle, Panaji and TDS Wards, Mangaluru, on the subject of TDS provisions under the Income-tax Act, 2025.
The programme was conducted on Thursday, 21st May 2026, from 3:15 PM to 5:30 PM at ICAI Bhavan, 2nd Floor, Mahendra Arcade, Mangaluru.
The session was graced by the presence of Sri Suresh Kumar C B , IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income-tax, Ministry Of Finance Department, Department Of Income Tax, India. The technical session was delivered by Sri Naveen Kumar S, IRS, Deputy Commissioner of Income-tax, TDS Circle, Panaji, who provided valuable insights into the updated TDS provisions, compliance requirements, and practical aspects under the Income-tax Act, 2025. The outreach initiative aimed to enhance awareness and strengthen stakeholders’ understanding of tax deduction at source provisions and related procedural compliances

Mr. D.B. Mehta, President-Elect, CREDAI Karnataka, and Mr. Vinod Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore, participated in the Annual General Meeting 2025–2026 organised by CREDAI Karnataka at Elements by Rosetta, Varca, Goa. The AGM, themed “Building a Future Ready Karnataka,” brought together industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss the future growth and development of the real estate sector across the state.

CREDAI Mangalore participated in a Zoom meeting with the team of KEONICS Karnataka and other key stakeholders, on 29th April 2026, where the association was represented by its CEO, Mr. Arjun J Rao, who presented constructive suggestions for revisions to the tender document from a builder’s perspective, with the objective of encouraging broader participation from the developer community.

CREDAI Mangalore was invited to participate in the Stakeholder Consultation Meeting convened by the Karnataka Maritime Board on proposed PPP projects in the Mangaluru region, held on 22nd April 2026 at The Ocean Pearl Hotel. Representatives from CREDAI Mangalore participated in the 44th General Body Meeting of Nirmithi Kendra held on 10 March 2026 at the DC Office Padil,Mangalore.

Mr. Vinod A.R. Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore and Mr. Arjun J Rao, CEO, CREDAI Mangalore met with Prof. Subray Hegde, Director, NITK-STEP, at NITK Surathkal to initiate a strategic collaboration for conducting a comprehensive and structured Real Estate Market Survey for Mangaluru.
The initiative will culminate in a detailed analytical report aimed at generating data-driven insights to support informed decision-making, policy advocacy, and sustainable growth of the regional real estate ecosystem.

CREDAI Mangalore participated in the CREDAI BuildSmart Innovation Challenge Finale at EMERGE 2026, a flagship initiative conducted by CREDAI Mangalore on behalf of Section Infin-8 Foundation and powered by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor and Mission Utthan, showcasing the transformative power of structured innovation in solving real-world industry challenges.
The initiative activated local talent to develop technology-led solutions across safety, quality, workflows, and sustainability, aligning with Mangaluru’s vision of emerging as a leading tech, data centre, and global knowledge hub, with top teams now progressing towards pilots, incubation, and real-world deployment.

CREDAI Mangalore actively participated in TiECon Mangaluru 2026, held from 15th to 17th January 2026 at The Avatar Hotel & Convention Centre and TMA Pai International Convention Centre, a premier entrepreneurship summit positioning Coastal Karnataka as an emerging “Silicon Beach” innovation hub.
The summit featured over 30 startups, 500+ delegates, leading investors, policymakers, and eminent speakers, with focused discussions on building unicorns, AI and deeptech innovation, agritech, sustainability, GCC development, and strengthening the regional startup ecosystem aligned with the long-term vision of enabling 4,000 startups by 2034.

CREDAI Mangalore actively participated in CREDAI SOUTH CON 2026, held on 23rd and 24th January 2026 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru, alongside CREDAI chapters from across South India.
The event served as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, industry insights, policy discussions, and networking, strengthening regional collaboration within the real estate ecosystem.

Mr. Vinod A.R. Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore and Mr. Roger Pinto, Members, CREDAI Mangalore, and Mr. Arjun J Rao, CEO, CREDAI Mangalore were invited as mentors for the CREDAI Build Smart Innovation Challenge 2025, guiding shortlisted innovators through expert feedback and strategic inputs.
The mentoring session enabled participants to present their ideas online to industry leaders, helping validate concepts and refine them into market-ready solutions.

During the visit of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar to Mangaluru, CREDAI Mangalore, in association with KCCI and the Coastal Karnataka Tourism Board, made a comprehensive presentation outlining key development priorities for the region.
The engagement highlighted strategic positioning of Mangaluru as a future-ready port city, along with proposals spanning infrastructure and connectivity, tourism and coastal development, industrial and IT enablement, and critical planning, land, and policy reforms aligned with the Government’s “Beyond Bengaluru” vision.

The CREDAI Youth Wing – Mangalore Chapter organized an interactive knowledge-sharing session titled “Green Buildings & Sustainable Cities” on 11th December 2025 at wrkwrk, Mindspace, Yeyyadi, bringing together reputed architects and young leaders to deliberate on sustainable development, smart mobility, and responsible urban growth.
The engaging discussions reflected a shared commitment to shaping a greener, more resilient, and future-ready Mangaluru, followed by a networking interaction and high tea fostering meaningful collaboration.

Mr. D.B. Mehta, Past President, CREDAI Mangalore and President-Elect, CREDAI Karnataka, met with the British Deputy High Commissioner in Mangaluru on 29th January 2026 to deliberate on opportunities arising from the India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The interaction focused on exploring collaborative prospects, trade facilitation, investment opportunities, and potential partnerships that could benefit the real estate, infrastructure, and allied sectors in Coastal Karnataka.

Mr. Vinod A.R. Pinto participated in the Installation Ceremony of CREDAI Udupi, which was graced by the presence of Mr. Bhaskar Nagendrappa, President, CREDAI Karnataka; Mr. Anil Nayak, CEO, CREDAI Karnataka; and Mr. Rohith Bhat, Founder of Robosoft, WrkWrk and Founding President of TiE Mangaluru. On the occasion, Mr. Sudhir Shetty was elected President, CREDAI Udupi, and Mr. Amit Aravind assumed office as Secretary.

Mr. Arjun J Rao, CEO, CREDAI Mangalore, participated in the Coastal Conclave hosted by NIT-K Surathkal, engaging with CEOs and institutional leaders to deliberate on building an integrated hub
of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship for the coastal region. The conclave focused on fostering a technology-driven ecosystem while preserving regional ecology and culture, aligned with national missions such as Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and Sagarmala.

Mr. Vinod A.R. Pinto, President, CREDAI Mangalore, participated in the AERO MEET 2025 organized by Mangaluru International Airport, engaging with key aviation and tourism stakeholders to strengthen regional connectivity and promote Mangaluru as a strategic gateway for trade, commerce, and tourism.

CREDAI Mangalore, in association with Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH), organized a free medical camp for construction workers, providing screenings, routine investigations, medications, and subsidized advanced services. The event, presided over by Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho and addressed by D. B. Mehta and Kumar B.R., emphasized workers’ health and statutory responsibilities. Initiated by Dr. Anil Shetty and Dr. Errol Pinto, over 400 workers benefited, and CREDAI and FMMCH pledged to continue such healthcare initiatives.

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Darshan H.V. announced that the State Tourism Department is preparing a special tourism policy for coastal development, highlighting that Mangaluru has strong potential to become the next rapidly growing city in Karnataka after Bengaluru. Speaking at the CREDAI Mangalore 2025–27 installation ceremony, he urged greater local investment and assured administrative support. CREDAI Karnataka president Bhaskar T. Nagendra installed the new office-bearers, including president Vinod Pinto and state unit president D.B. Mehta, with other key members assuming their roles.

CREDAI Mangalore and Father Muller Medical College Hospital held a free medical camp for construction workers, the first project under their renewed MoU. The event offered screenings, medications, subsidized advanced tests, and emphasized workers’ welfare. Key dignitaries addressed health responsibilities, government support, and the need for accessible services. Initiated by Dr. Anil Shetty and Dr. Errol Pinto, the camp benefited over 400 workers, with both institutions pledging continued healthcare initiatives.

CREDAI Mangalore has partnered with Section Infin-8 Foundation (SI-8) through an MoU to introduce new technologies and sustainable practices in Mangaluru’s real estate sector. The collaboration focuses on green building methods, sustainable urban development, ESG frameworks, innovative construction techniques, and environmental impact assessments with carbon credits. An Innovation and Incubation Facility will support sustainable startups and promote advanced solutions for a resilient future, benefiting developers and industry leaders across Mangaluru.

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), Mangaluru, announced on Thursday that D.B. Mehta is the president-elect of CREDAI-Karnataka for the 2025-27 term.

A comprehensive discussion on Registration Software, multi-rights, and the registration of TDR was held in Bengaluru. Attendees included CREDAI Mangalore President Mr. Vinod Pinto; Past President Mr. D. B. Mehta; Adv. Sathish Bhat (CREDAI-appointed counsel); the Principal Secretary; AIGR; DR; DC of Mangaluru, Shri Mullai Muhilan M. P., IAS; and Sub-Registrar Officers of the city and taluk. Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, District In-charge Minister of Mangaluru, assured positive resolution within a short time.

CREDAI Women’s Wing and CREDAI Mangalore, with the Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy at Father Muller Medical College (NAAC/NABH/NABL), organized a Skin Camp on Neglected Tropical Diseases among migrant workers. Camps at over five builders’ sites have provided check-ups to more than 300 construction workers.

A meeting was recently convened to discuss the ongoing issues related to the RERA. The primary objective of this meeting was to identify the current challenges and explore potential solutions to address these issues effectively.

CREDAI Karnataka held a Zoom meeting with state chapter heads from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. From CREDAI Mangalore, President Mr. Vinod Pinto, Past President Mr. D. B. Mehta, and CEO Mr. Arjun Rao participated. Key GST issues and action points were deliberated to safeguard member interests.

President Mr. Vinod Pinto and CEO Mr. Arjun Rao met SI-8 Foundation Directors Dr. (Inv) Shivakiran Makam and Mr. Vishwas Uchila Shishir to explore an MoU for an Innovation Hub at CREDAI Mangalore. The hub will provide rental office space for real-estate startups to grow and innovate.

Held on Saturday, 3 August, at the CREDAI Office (Empire Mall), the session guided homemakers, women entrepreneurs, and salaried employees on how to invest, grow, and manage savings. Organised by CREDAI Women’s Wing under Mrs. Kritheen Amin and Mrs. Rajni Patrao.

CREDAI Women’s Wing with KCCI and Young Indians (Mangaluru) hosted a session on 20 August at the CREDAI office, led by EMRI Hyderabad trainers, to build essential emergency response skills. Guests included ACP (Traffic) Najma Farooqi and leaders from YI and KCCI.

President Mr. Vinod Pinto, Founding Member Mr. William D’Souza, and CEO Mr. Arjun Rao met Ms. Abhi Malik, Trade Commissioner, Consulate General of Canada, to explore collaborations, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development opportunities.

CREDAI Mangalore, along with ACCEI and IIA, met MUDA Chairman Sadashiv Ullal to address entry restrictions for architects and engineers. Proposals included allowing registered professionals access, introducing a professional ID system, and creating a Public Liaison Officer (PLO) mechanism for file tracking and transparency.

President and Executive Committee members met Shri Krishna Byre Gowda (Revenue Minister), Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao (District In-charge Minister), and Shri Mullai Muhilan (Deputy Commissioner) to present a representation on property registration reforms in Kaveri 2.0. Discussions covered encumbrance inaccuracies, module integrations, stamp duty reductions, and grievance redressal mechanisms.

CREDAI Mangalore welcomed Mr. Ravichandra Naik, the new MCC Commissioner, and expressed readiness to collaborate on initiatives aimed at urban development and regulatory improvements in the city.

The leadership of CREDAI Mangalore met senior lawyers of the Mangaluru Bar Council and MLC Shri Ivan D’Souza to support efforts to establish a Regional High Court in Mangaluru, enhancing legal access for the coastal region.

CREDAI Mangalore, along with local leaders and KEONICS Chairman Shri Sharath Bacchhegowda, discussed the development of Mangaluru’s IT Park at STPI Blueberry Hills. Key topics included infrastructure planning, power supply, amenities, and road expansion to build a world-class IT hub.

Shri Jayaram Raipura, IRS, delivered an insightful presentation on the Mangaluru Water Metro Project, highlighting its potential to enhance tourism, business opportunities, and urban infrastructure development.

CREDAI Mangalore supported Deputy Commissioner Shri Mullai Muhilan’s initiative during Karavali Utsava, fostering community unity and cultural celebration in Mangaluru.

In collaboration with the Dakshina Kannada District Administration, Mangaluru Smart City, and local organizations, CREDAI Mangalore actively participated in a beach cleanup drive, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.

CREDAI Mangalore purchased a traditional painting at the Emerge 2025 Auction to support Tapasya Foundation’s palliative care centre for cancer patients at Mudipu, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility.

CREDAI Mangalore extended financial assistance for the higher education of a maintenance staff’s daughter, supporting educational growth and empowerment.

Members of CREDAI Mangalore had the privilege of meeting Hon’ble Speaker Shri U. T. Khader at Vidhana Soudha, who personally guided them on a tour of the Assembly Hall.

The first monthly meet of 2025 featured an inspiring address by President Mr. Vinod Pinto, discussions on tourism development, and a product showcase by Pidilite. The revamped CREDAI Newsletter, spearheaded by Chief Editor Mrs. Hazel Cardoza, was officially launched.

The March 2025 meet featured a keynote by President Mr. Vinod Pinto, interactive discussions with members, and a showcase by Great White Electricals. The evening concluded with networking, conversations, and dinner.

Team Land Banking Warriors won the championship, led by Mr. Kiran Shetty of Shree Nidhi Infrastructures. Mr. Meraj Yusuf of In-Land Builders was the runner-up and received the Best Goalkeeper award for the second consecutive year.
